Welcome to the Mercian Herb Group, a group that covers the Midlands, or as the Anglo Saxons called it Mercia. The area of Mercia includes South Mercia, the area south of the River Trent (S. Staffs. & N. Warks), North Mercia the area north of the River Trent (N. Staffs, S. Derbys & Notts) and the surrounding areas of Outer Mercia which includes S. Lincs, Leics, Rutland, Northants & N. Oxon.

MHG run workshops, herb walks, tours of herb gardens, demonstrations and lectures. On the web we provide a forum, articles and a special area that contains content exclusive to MHG members only. In the future we'll also have a newsletter 'Wort Lore' which is available to members as well as a downloads area which contains a variety of interesting herb related items from desktops wallpapers to hand outs from our workshops.
